Oh little town of Bethlehem

We had a neat little experience the other night where we went to Burnett and walked through a mock up of Bethlehem. There were lots of different shops and houses, people were dressed to the times and you could walk into the homes and shops and see all of it staged to that time. There were merchants out in the streets selling and sampling things. It was really cool.
It was so cold that we had to pull out our winter clothes and borrow some for Gwen. So here are James and Gwen showing off the latest Texas winter wear.
Here James is showing Gwen some live camels, that is right LIVE!!!

These are some of the people that were dressed up. They were tending the animals.
Here is our little family posing for a shot in front of one of the Inns.
Here are Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus in a stable.

Here is a little sneek peek of Gwen and I waiting for our hot chocolate to cool off. Notice that we are doing the same things in the pictures... and that was not even planned, it just happens with us, like we are one of a kind, or maybe just related. Pardon the crazy eyes I was cought off guard.

Lonna, I'm so glad you were able to go to Burnett for the live nativity. I proposed that we do that for our enrichment activity but it got vetoed. I've never been and hope to get my family there next weekend, the last weekend for it. Do you know how late in the evening it goes?

Oh wow! That looks sooo fun! What a neat thing. I'm so bummed we had to miss that last night with y'all. Brooklyn is still coughing and has a runny nose, bummer. I had to sleep in her room again last night after she vomited so much flem. Yuck! But I hope she feels better so we can go this Sunday. I'm dying to see it before I leave for Cali. Great pics!

This looks like so much fun. I love Christmas and this is the next best thing to being in Bethlehem I think. We're so looking forward to seeing our favorite Gwennie for a few days. Love mom & dad Dattage.
