Just hanging out

Here are just a few fun little fun pics of the girls hanging out. Playing around here in this blanket, they are swinging together and I have to say that they really did like it despite the unamused looks on their faces at this point. But it was getting late and who knows a kid that stays totally happy while tired? I don't. The weather is warming up and I have to say that we are really excited to play outside again. So it looks like we will be starting a new quest for swimsuits...gasp! What a tricky little adventure that will be. We will keep you posted so you can look for us at the pool. As you know we have been getting ready for summer, using our pool toys in the tub. When the warm weather finds us we hope that everyone who wants to will come and see us. We promise to show you a good time. Until then we will just keep playing around.

Daddy Daughter all the time

Here are some pictures of one of our favorite times of the day...daddy daughter time. I love to see James and Gwen play together. I know that our neighbors don't really like it because we get kind of loud...who am I kidding we are really loud. Chasing Gwen on our hands and knees is so funny because she sees us coming for her and she tries to get away, then she pannic's and drops to the ground and flounders around while screaming and laughing. It is really great. And the best part is that she gets really tired and it is perfect for a way to wind her down.

inside pool party

While James and Mike viewed some footage, Gwen and Megan decided to have a little pool party. You might have noticed that both of these girls only have one sock on. Well that was the starting point. But when both the socks came off...look out Paris Hilton, these girls are out to party. It was really fun to watch them play together. Gwen is always trying to copy Megan so when she laughs Gwen automatically thinks whatever they are doing is so funny. I am so glad that there are lots of little girls and boys around here so that all of them can play together. Party on girls.

A new twist on home Videos

So I know that we have all been talking about this video shoot for quite some time now, but I do believe that minus a few extra shots and sdome editing we just might be wrapping it up. This photo is taken from the last shoot of the day. Mike was such a trooper to crawl into the tub fully clothed, it is a good thing that we had him in warm water.
Here we have James preparing the shot and getting the crane ready. What a beast the crane is.
More ajusting with the lights and camera angle....yadda yadda yadda. Oh yeah and that is me.

We had moniters all over the house. I really felt like I was in a computer lab.
All productions stop for the director to take a phone call from Ryan.
Yes that is a kiddy pool in my dining room. I know that sounds really odd, but the shot for that turned out really really neat. And those lights made our house look like it was being taken over by aliens....we will have to see what our electric bill comes out to be.
Oh did I mention that we had to tear up our home to get all the equipment in? Well basically there were extension cords and lights and track for the dolly running throught almost every room in our home. I have to tell you that I was going bonkers by the time we finished shooting that night. Everything has safely returned to its place though.
Here is a re-shoot of one of the scenes at the Romriell home. I have to tell you that I personally will not be sad to see those late nights shooting be over.
So this is where we leave you with the video shooting pics, until we have it all edited. And then we will work out some magic so that if you want to see it you may. Thanks to everyone that was willing to lend us something or other of theirs. Oh an a big thanks to Kim for all her help with the kids and working with us and her work schedule. The final cut is just around the corner.

I wear my sunglasses

In a day of outings I was at Old Navy with Summer and Brooklyn and we found these fantastic glasses...you know people keep telling me that the warm weather is right around the corner, but so far all I have seen is rain.
So here the girls try on the glasses and it is really funny that Gwen keeps pushing up the glasses as Brooklyn tries to pull them down.
Well hello glamourous Hollywood here we come.
Again with the pulling off in different directions. And Brooklyn is trying to eat hers. Gwen is giving her tight lipped vogue face.
And here we have Gwen seeing the world through rose colored glasses...But keep thinking that she looks like a verry young Elton John. Get back funky cat.
This was before we found the glasses and they were having a little chat with each other and for a moment they were holding hands, however my camera is not as quick as I would like to think it is and I missed that little friendly moment. Oh well we found some great deals and had a good time shopping.

front seat safty...

Well today was basically the first day that we were able to go out and about due to the weather, so we were going to the store with Kim and Megan. We had some clever car switching due to the video shoot, and so long story short Kim had the kids car seats and I now had the car we would be using. So I needed to get over to Kim's and here was my solution. While Kim was putting the seats in I put Gwen in the front seat all belted in then I got out to take these pics and Gwen was getting a kick out of sitting forward, and up front. Maybe the little straw that she was playing with played a factor into the happy attitude, but I am going to say that I believe that the facing forward was a huge success and I am ready to buy a new car seat. Oh and I think that Gwen looks like me a lot in these pics. And it is about time too.

I looked out the window...

We have been having a bit of crazy weather. Yesturday (picture above) it snowed. Well maybe I should start at the beginning. This past weekend it got really cold and started raining...out here that means Ice Storms. I have never seen or hear of one of these until moving here to Texas. So I was pretty surprised when it was only raining and cold and people were talking of school and work cancelations. But alas here are some pictures that will help everyone see the madness that is an Ice Storm. These pictures are from our patio...because we have not been able to go anywhere else since Sunday night. Let me tell you, I thought not having my own car was bad, but basically being stuck in your own home in a storm...way more depressing.
So this one is of the trail around the complex...I don't know if you can see it too well but that is ice covering everything, not snow.
Here are some trees that are totally weighed down by the heavy ice, they are bent over the fence.
This is a look at the parking lot below us...it is entirely cover in a sheet of ice...basically my own personal skating rink. James made an attempt to go out yesturday and he was unable to even open our car doors, they were totally sealed shut. The cars look like they are growing out of the ground because the ice goes from the car bumpers to the sheet of ice on the ground.
And here is our little patio...all ice. At night when the wind blows the rain it hits the doors and windows and it sounds like lots of people are tapping their fingers on them. Kind of creepy if you ask me. On Tuesday morning I tried to look out the window to see outside, and the whole window was coverd in a layer of ice! I know that this whole post sounds the same but I am totally blown away, it is like nothing that I could have imagined. So today almost all the roads are closed ( mostly the ones with or leading to overpasses) and the airport has canceled all the flights, and it is the second day of school at UT that has been canceled. The weather channel said that it should be warming up past freezing in a day or so, hoping that the rain will stop from turning to ice on contact, but you know how I feel about the weather people. So I guess we will see. But the tip of the day is that in the event of an Ice Storm, please remember that it is usless to hide under your desk, or in a bathtub for that matter. I hope that everyone is staying warm, until the next post this is secret agent Lonna for Austin Barlow's news thanks for tuning in.

Mega Megan

Finding important evidence...
Making rain boots look good again...
Leaving the competition in the dust...
Or just being the bigger person...This is Mgean Frost. She is never one to back down from a challenge...even if it is just a race to the other end of the kitchen. A good friend even to those who don't talk yet, She is there for the little guys. That is why she is Mega Megan.

lights, camera, Action

I know that I have not made many posts lately, but it is not without good reason. James has been working on shooting a video for a band that is leaving on tour soon, so he and Mike Frost have been working like crazy to get the video of their new single all wrapped up before the band leaves for the Europe tour. So that means that James has taken the computers, that is right not just the laptop, but the mother one too. So instead of blogging, checking my e-mail, or checking everyone elses blogs, I have had to use my creative side, a bit of boy scout survival skill, the great outdoors, and anyone that I know is at home to keep Gwen and myself busy and occupied mentally, and physically. So now that I have the computer in my reach I will update like crazy. So here are a few pictures of day one's shooting schedule. I am sorry that there are not more but on the last one here I snuck in to take a little pic, and I forgot that the flash was on and they had to re-shoot the whole thing. Sorry James. Anyways it is amazing what a great set of equipment and a good story line can produce. James did a rough cut edit of the footage they already shot and I have to say that it is looking great. They are shooting most of it at or around James' Aunt Tricia's home. So it is really neat. Now that everyone is caught up on the madness that is out life, I hope that everyone has a nice little day off.

the Adams play place

So we were over at Summer Adams home the other day and it was basically the McPlay Place without french fries. There were kids climbing up, on , and over each other and everything else. So here are a few photos to show how kids interact when forced to share toys. So Gwen in playing with a cell phone that is singing to her.
And here we have a race for the candle holders, oh and Jackson Sharp is just about to pull Gwen's pony tail, I am sure that he thought is was really cute and just wanted to touch it.
Jackson and Gwen sure do look a lot alike. Same hair color, same cheeks, same eyebrows, different color eyes though. But they are only a month apart, and Jackson has a bunch more teeth.
So here we tried to line em' up and have a little group photo, everyone knows how easy those are. From Left to Right. Kennedy, Adelyn, Gwen, Brooklyn, and Jackson. The only boy.

Here is where they are turned loose. All of them crawl so it is funny to see them getting around. It is like little puppies.
Here is Tyson, he was mad that Gwen had the talking phone, but it looks like she might share. I love to see all the kids that are right around the same age playing together, it is so much fun to see them interacting, and playing with each other. It really makes me glad that I only had one at a time. So Leslie if you are out there my hats off to you for taking two at a time. Well play on kids, play on.
