ringing in the New Year

I know that you are wondering who and what this handsome man is doing, see below to find out.
Well for New Years 2006 we were invited to Tricia and Allen Romriell's home and so that is where we went. We started off the evening playing games like all good celebrations do and then it was time to fire...Bon fire that is. You know classic roasting, cooking, melting that sort of fun and goodness that the outdoors offers.
While things were getting started James and Gwen were trying to stay warm. And getting situated for the nights events.
Dan was caught off guard while doing his fire chant, Naturally the fire was about to really get big, that is what fire chants do.
Tricia is just making sure that everyone is warm and comfortable, because that is what Aunt Tricia's do, and we did get bundled up because we were in for some roasting starting....Now.
Look how fantastic these husbands are making food for all the bundled up wives, and kids.
Blast!! Gwen hit something on the computer and so the picture that is at the top, James making us some Hot Dogs and Smores, is supposed to be here. I don't know what she pushed but I can't fix it either. So make a mental note if you scroll back up that James pulled out his inner boy scout and made us some great food, even though part of mine was eaten by the dogs. Oh well a dog has to eat too, right?

Here Gwen and I are, she is just about asleep and I am shamefully using her body heat. After everyone ate, including the dogs, we sat around and told some stories that may be useful in the future. Then about 12:30am some of us headed back to the warmth of the house and we had fun visiting with everyone and eating ice cream and catching up. It was a great New Years and I can hardly believe that it is Jaurary. Where does the time go? We hope that everyone had a safe and happy New Year. Welcome to 2007. What surprises await us in the New Year? Stick around to find out, I know that I will.

I thought you didn't like the outdoors, and isn't that the scenery from that Uzi and Ari video they play in Europe?

Happy New Year to all of you in the warmer part of the world. We watched a Church video and went to bed. It does look like you had a great time. We are all back to work. Still no snow in Logan and 40 F. Well the year of the Boar has begun and I hope that it is everything everyone wishes of a Lucky 7, I wanted a granddaughter born 07/07/07 at 7:07. That is not going to happen unless somebody adopts. But we'll settle for at least a Happy, healthy little Ezra. Mom Dattage

Happy New Year! Those Romriells really know how to throw a party, birthday or not! I love the bonfire pics (what is it with men and fires, firecrackers, fireworks, pick a holiday and you've got any of the above.)
