Farewell to Dan

We just wanted to take a moment to say farewell to our friend Dan Frost. He has been living in San Antonio for the last three months as he completed a training course. So on the weekends he pops up here to Austin for a little visit and to be harassed by Gwen, and beaten at Settlers by James. I know that Dan is counting down the seconds until he can see his awesome kids and beautiful wife again, but I have to say that we are going to miss you Dan. Feel free to drop in anytime, we totally consider you a part of our family.
So for his last day here we made Dan and Mike come with us to Ski shores for burgers. It was really nice weather so a lot of people were there and the boat parking was almost full. I started to take some pictures and Gwen looked so funny siting suspended between the top of the table and the bench that I tried to take a picture but the camera and I were not working so well together.

And here Gwen and James are still waiting for their food. After I took this one we moved into the shade and I forgot to pull out the camera again. But have no fear the lunch was great. We also were able to see a few of the basketball games leading up to the Sweet 16. Dan educated us in that area. Thanks Dan, we think you are fantastic.

I am not as jealous about your weather as I usually am because it has been record breaking heat here in dear old Mt. Pleasant! I even sat outside for a while and threw the ball to the annoying dog. But alas...no snow cones and burgers so you did have a better time than we did! A good job of sleuthing to you guys for detecting the phony snow cone truck!
Love, Syl

Thanks for entertaining Dan and I while Kim and Megan have been gone.

By the way, I don't see any mention of how we beat you at Tri-Bond, I guess we'll never see that game again.

It must be warm if you are getting sno cones, Even 65 degrees doesn't tempt me yet. But I did think it was pretty warm yesterday here. Obviously nothing compared to what you must be experiencing. But alas it is Utah and they say a storm is on the way so back to winter a bit on Wednesday. But then again maybe it will miss us. We love you all, have a great day.

You guys are the best tour guides ever. I hope you hit all the shopping outlets...okay maybe it depends on your visitor. But food, definitely food. I am still craving that chicken alfredo pizza we had, as we have yet to find another as good since.

We just bought Settlers of Cataan for my brother-in-law for Christmas and our friend (who owns Wonko's) didn't have it in stock in December, so we hand-delivered Mike's gift to him in Colorado during spring break.

That's a really cute family pic of "y'all" with Dan!
