the last hoorah!
This is a little place called Inks Lake. We have one last weekend with our friends the Frost's before they move and so we wanted to make it a good one. Here James shows Gwen that the water, though a bit cloudy is still safe.
Gwen is not so sure that James was telling the truth, but she did warm up to the lake later on.
Megan and Gwen need a little snack to keep them going while swimming.
Here are the Frost's. One big happy family. We ate at Mike's favorite BBQ place called Cooper's
Here is the crew setting up the tent. No James and I did not camp, I know that some of you were starting to worry that we had guts.
Now this is so funny. Right when we arrived at the campsite Gwen was ready to make a fire. She started to get some sticks, so I asked her to show me her sticks and this is the surprised face that I was given. I think that we will call her wilderness Gwen.
She found the perfect size rock for pondering. And the stuff all over her face is a mixture of dirt, soot, and powdered doughnuts.
It was such a fun day and Gwen didn't want to take a nap for fear that she might miss something. So by the time we were getting ready to go she was trying to keep awake by the fire. Within five minutes of being in the car on the drive home she was down for the count. What a good little trooper. Thanks to the Frost's for showing us the Austin ropes. We wish you well in D.C.
