primetime switch-a-roo
I don't know if it is just me and the shows that I have been watching lately on t.v., but I feel like every time a new show debuts it is on for a few weeks and then it falls into some kind of television abyss. The last year of primetime television has been a strange one, even the stable and really popular shows have had odd changes or not so good time slots, or like the show "Friday Night Lights" having been shown on every night of the week until finally landing on a fitting Friday night. I know that the shows that have fallen in the latest season have been toyed with due to the writers strike, but as for last year and now the present shows airing I am growing tired of feeling like I am just getting into a show only to turn into it one week and have it disappear. Now like I said it could just be the shows that I am watching, I know that all of those American Idol fans out there are not disappointed, but as for the rest of the scheduled programing, I am quite irritated. Does anyone else know what I am talking about? Or am I just getting into the lame shows? That could very well be the problem, I wouldn't put it passed myself to invest my time into something kind of sappy or silly.

I agree with you! It seems like a good time for personal library viewing, it is so frustrating to get into a program and then have it enter the TV abyss!

Amen! On top of that just as soon as I have finally let go of the hope that my show will show up, It does! Like a year later. I don't even try, I just write down the name and then mention it to dad who then checks around and finds everything that is out there. But I have admit my t.v. watching is at an all time low.

I was really sad last year when "Invasion" disappeared, and is "Life" ever coming back? I actually kind of enjoyed it.
I've had a relatively tv-free week, and I feel fine. I did watch American Idol on Thurday night.
I hear you, it's so hard to get attached to anything these days. It's sometimes gone after a few episodes. We have started season dvds and mostly movies. I keep thinking what I'd do with all my time if not so much tv, but who cares, at the end of the day I just need to recuperate!
I agree too. TV stinks right now. Although we are AI fans! I'm all for Netflixing old shows on DVD.
I hate that nothing is on (although we do watch American Idol). So we switched to watching movies and now we've watched all of the movies too, so now we don't have anything to do. It is quite sad.
