just in time

We made it back to Texas all in one piece, and just in time for a hurricane. I know what you are thinking, how lucky we must be to get our own chance to test out the food storage we have. Well from the news this morning it looks like we will be able to see some of the effects of Hurricane Ike this weekend. I don't know exactly what to think of all of this, since I have never been in range of a hurricane, tornado, flood etc. before. But I guess all we can do is be as prepared as we can. However I am kind of wondering where to draw that line.

I still have some more pictures from our little adventure to see the families, but I will get to those later. I am really glad to be home with James and the kids are happy to have dad around. Gwen keeps slipping up and calling James all the uncles names, and I am pretty sure that a grandma and grandpa have popped out too. So to all of our family members just know that Gwen is still talking about all of you, and I guess that means that she had a really good time.

Oh and Harrison is walking all over the place these days, that was a fun surprise for James to see. Soon he will be fast enough to chase Gwen down, then the word wild will really describe our days.

I hope you all survive Ike well. It is sort of scary! We miss the wildness of Gwen & Harry around here! It is way to quiet! I'll be posting more pictures and a few video clips, so stay tuned!

I can't believe Harrison is already walking. How fun!! I'm glad you are finally back hopefully we'll see you soon. We came to Austin to get away from Ike but I think we are going to head back in the morning to check out the damage.

Go Harrison! Kaitlin isn't walking yet. She just started crawling on her hands and knees. I'm glad you made it home before the storm. Happy anniversary tomorrow!

oh Lonna, I hope all is well with you guys after your natural disaster. Taylor and I would have probably died seeing as our food storage consists of 22 bottles of apple jelly. I don't think that's very substantial. Just to let you know, he's totally the one who did all brain and leg work behind the jelly. I mostly just sat on the couch and cut apples when he told me to. So don't be too impressed with my skills.

I want to see some documentation of little Harrison all over the place!
