I put the pictures on backwards...so make sure to look at them from the bottom up then all of the photos will make sense. So here is the story of the day. It was a sunny and warm Halloween (84 degrees) for the trick-o-treaters in Austin, TX this year. Tannie and Dan had invited us over for pizza and to see this really decked out neighborhood near them. Gwen and I waited all day for James to get home so that we could venture out into the spooky scene. In the bottom pic we are changing her into the chicken costume and she is eating the feet...tastes like chicken. When we arrive at the Smith's we were waiting to take Austin out for some candy, and look who arrived, a little ducky. This ducky is on the move these days and she was about to show Gwen all about it. So eventually we saw the street, we did a little trick-o-treating, and we attempted at the end to do one more picture... nobody was sitting still and so you have this little pic, where all the parents are holding down the kids. But it was a good adventure and we will see what happens next year.
Oh, the irony...there you are in 84 degree weather putting kids in costumes equipped with insulation, while we the Utahns almost freeze to death trick or treating in our chiffon bug costumes... (Next year, we're switching costumes! :0) Looks like everyone had a great time anyway. Love the feet, Gwen! Leslie
It was sure cold here for Halloween, in the 40's! I love the chicken costume! She is SO cute! Looks like you had alot of fun. We only had about 30 trick o treaters...so that leaves more candy for us! Love, Syl
WEll we don't get much action on Halloween in this old neighborhood, we had about 10 visitors including lilly and Ryan, and we took our treats over to the ward and dumped the rest of them in a little girls basket who got there late and didn't find much left. Dad finally winterized the lawn and we hope it will rain soon to wash it all in because we put away the hoses. All is well here and we can't wait to see the real chicken. mom & dad D
