July 4th
Today we went to Tricia and Allen Romriell's home to celebrate the day, and they had a pool party and all the kids were completely pooped by the time we were finished. So it was raining pretty hard earlier today, but cleared up just in time for the fireworks. So I bet you are wondering why I have a picture of the fireworks from my t.v. posted...well it is because we didn't attend the actual fireworks due to a few different things, but I did like seeing them from the comfort of my couch and in my pajamas. I have to say it was really comfy, and air conditioned, and much shorter than I remember it being. Oh well. I do love fireworks no matter how they come. I hope that everyone had an enjoyable day.

Last year was our first year to be in Texas for July 4th and we went to Zilker for the show and got rained on. This year, we decided to stay home like you did. I should have turned on the tv to listen to the symphony play to the fireworks. Did you do that? I like the idea of not fighting the crowd, the humidity, the mud. My pyros had fun over here!
Oh bummer, it rained last year too on the 4th. Austin is cursed I'm afraid. Glad it was fun besides the rain!
I prefer the tv and ac over the heat and crowds anyday...unless you are in Mt. Pleasant where they chuck popsicles at you from the parade! Now they know how to celebrate. I'm glad you had a fun and family filled day.
