fountain fun
Today we took a little adventure down town to a little place by Zilker Park. It is this really fun water fountain play place. Here Gwen is trying to decide if it is really safe, I know that she was a little confused because our shower doesn't shoot out of the drain like that.
All along the sides of the fountains are these really cute shallow pools, it is like watching a little group of hummingbirds, the kids go from one pool to the next dipping in and running out. Here we have (left to right) Simone Romriell, Gwen, Logan Smith, and random girl in her underwear.
Here is a better look at the little pools. they have just a little fountain that creates bubbles and sheer entertainment. I forgot to mention that the larger fountain/ sprinklers are on a little timer and so they do all sorts of fun heights, and patterns. I have heard that at night they light up the little fountains and it is really cool. We just might have to check that out.

Oh my goodness, my girls would love this fountain!! It's like a combination of sprinklers, the bathtub, and who can forget, bubbles! (Without the cleanup) I can see this being very popular among the toddlers I know. Who can resist stripping down to their underwear to enjoy!? :) Though I was glad to see swimsuits. I'm glad Gwen's still fits, it's so adorable. You are lucky it's still warm enough to swim. It seems you get to enjoy summer just a little longer than we do.
Oh how fun! I totally forgot to go there before we left, darn it. I can't believe y'all are in swimsuits still. We are bundled up in jackets and warm clothing. It snowed on the mtns (we can see from our yard) the other night. Brrrrr!!! I need some TX sunshine!
we went there a couple of weeks ago and i think we went on the hottest day possible at the hottest time so i don't have very fond memories of it, but i'm glad you guys had a good time. i think we'll have to try it out again under different circumstances!
How fun! Why didn't you and James strip to your underwear and try it too? That would have made fun photos!

I have always secretly wanted to head to Gateway in my swimming suit and run through the fountains there. I know I should do it and not be concerned about what others are thinking, but dangit, I just can't bring myself to be the only 23 year old running around with 1-10 year olds. I love Gwen's cute little apple swimming suit and P.S. i hope the little girl in underwear was potty trained.
What an adorable little girl. That water looks like fun. She's going to be a great big sister.

When I turned 30, we went to SLC and we ate at PF Changs, and then we headed over to the Gateway and played in the fountains there.. Sure wish Gwen could have been there to have fun with.
