Farwell Dexter

A sad moment has happened to me today. My favorite car "Dexter" or "Dex" as I liked to call him, has found a new home. I wanted so badly to keep him for a long time, but two cars was just not working for us at the moment. So I just wanted to say thanks Dex for all the fun times, for all the really neat features that you had, and for just being a really awesome car. I know that you will have a lot of fun new adventures with the young single girl that now calls you her own.

Lonna, I know how you feel.. when I sold my Accord-"Betsy" as I called it, I seriously cried. I loved that car.. And a young single girl bought her too..
Doesnt it seem weird that our cars can mean so much to us? Even though I ended up with a brand new pilot, I still miss Besty and all of our road trips and fun adventures!

Love,
Suzy

Dex was a great car for you guys! I am glad he has gone to a good home. What is your van's name?

Lonna, how sad is this? Dex is such a cute car and you had to replace him for the minivan. I'm sorry. Don't worry though, think of all the great times you'll have in the van.

P.S. I feel a little bad admitting this, but I have laughed at every single one of your potty training posts. Not that I'm laughing at you, I'm laughing WITH you....

You know it is really funny, the moment that I saw Dex I knew that was the car for James and I, it just kind of looks like us. And it was easy to pick a name for it because to me it looks like the black rimmed glasses of the boy genius Dexter from the cartoon Dexter's labratory. So it is kind of geeky and chic at the same time.

Anyway the point of me writing this is because I do not have a name for the van yet, it is a work in progress. I feel like we are just getting to know each other so when we get to know each other a little bit better I hope that we can find a name that fits nicely.

Ah, Dexter was a great friend to us all. But your mini-van looks up for just as many adventures. When we parted ways with the Scion, it was to a young single girl too! And that was a sad day as well. I am anxious to see the name you come up with for the van. You guys have always been good at naming things...kids, cars, dogs you might someday own, etc.

Okay, I was kind of wigging out at first, thinking you were getting rid of your sweet new minivan. I am sorry to see your little car go, but am thrilled for you on the other one.
