Today we ventured downtown for playgroup, and what a playgroup it was. Harrison was really excited to ride the train, Gwen on the other hand was a little skeptical.

The 11:00 am train was packed as you can see, and we were not even the caboose. London and Maddie kept Gwen company and shared their snacks for the ride. Gwen liked that.

We went through tunnels, and did little round abouts. And here is Gwen looking over at the lake. It was a great day for the train, and what a fun way to see some scenery.

I wanted to take more pictures, but I was a little busy keeping Gwen from trying to exit the train, and Harrison from trying to get off my lap. Kids I tell you what. But it really was so much fun. We love trains.

That looks like fun! I noticed you guys have short sleeve shirts on, no jackets, very unfair. Today's forecast in Utah was snow ALL day!
That is fun that you can play with Leslie and the twins so much!
Lonna, your kids are getting so big. I can't believe how much Harrison has grown up and turned into such an animated little guy. I loved the bathtub post and his "b sound" face. I also got a kick out of the bathtub trio. Nothing says fun like birthday hats and bathtubs. What a fun mom you are.
choo choo. i'm glad you could experience the train. besides the fact that our conductor was drinking on the job, and then had to get out and push the train, i thought it was a very successful trip! and you forgot to post about your amazing sno cone and lunch! total austin things to do and i'm so bummed i left before you. i think that calls for another trip down there!!
Thanks for inviting us to the playgroup! I think we could ride this train weekly and no one would complain. Well I must admit the part with sno cones combined with P. Terry's was my personal favorite. The cravings for Sno Cones just keep coming! Now if only the rest of our day could have been so successful-naps, oh and family pictures. Next year, right? We'll start planning in January. :)
What fun. I love it. One of these days, I'm going to playgroup. I'll just play with everyone else's kids since mine are in school. Or, I know...I'll bring Christopher to one after school is out. He would love to to play at Extreme Fun with y'all.
That looks SO fun! Where is the train? It looks really long. It looks like summer is there....but winter continues here!
I was sad we missed the choo-choo. I've had 2 chances recently to take Claire. The first time, the guy in front of me in the line bought the VERY last ticket, and this time I let Claire have some Daddy-daughter time. We'll have to do that before we head out.
