feeding turtles

This is how most of our feeding adventures go. Gwen with the bread and playing in the bird poop crusted dirt.
Here are the birds and ducks that came for some brunch.
And the main population that showed up.
Here are some more.
Gwen and Tyson pose for the camera. This is one of like three pictures where Gwen is actually looking at the camera. Classic face right.
But this is what they would rather be doing. Gwen goes for the rest of the bread and Tyson makes an amazing jump off the bench. We ate lunch at whole foods, and then it was home for pretend naps. You can't beat a day in the outdoors.

Is Tyson a cousin, because those two kiddos look alike. I have to laugh about your last post and little Gwennie changing her bear's diaper. She's a pro, it looks like she knows exactly what is going on.

Where is this? It doesn't look familiar.

And speaking of unfamiliar, this was the first time ever that Megan has looked at your blog and not recognized Gwen right away (granted, it was a shadowy picture). Sounds like you better plan a D.C. visit.

I am sorry that I failed to mention where we were. The animal feedings were just off the running trail at Town Lake and the pictures on the bench were in a little pavilion off the trail that overlooked the lake and a great view of downtown Austin.

So Megan has moved on. Well I just want you to know that Gwen still talks about Megan all the time, and we look at your pictures often. Since you have not had the baby yet Kim, why don't you just pop down for a weekend, you can drive the mini van, just for some practice.

i'm not sure if tyson is trying to put his arm around gwen or trying to push her off the bench. i wouldn't put it past him! thanks for a great day. it was worth all the looks at whole foods when everyone thought all 4 kids were mine!

I noticed the turtle is making away with an entire piece of bread in his mouth! That is exactly how my girls feed animals; apparently ripping up bread is a tricky skill! But I'm so glad the kids enjoyed themselves, crusty poop and all! (Again, familiar.) We will have to try that park out sometime. And I guess we'll have to bring more than a few loaves of bread if that's how hungry the turtles there are. :)

What a fun adventure! What is a pretend nap?

A pretend nap is one where I am in need of one, and the kids decide that they don't want one. So during the time where naps should take place everything that happens is kind of a blur.
