On Wednesday we had a really fun evening and it also happened to be my birthday. So we went to eat at a new place, well new for us, called Uncle Billy's. We met up with Ryan and Leslie and family for a fun BBQ dinner, and then it was off to the Blues on the Green concert. Harrison was not shy about going for the snacks, and Gwen and the twins ran around like wild animals. They even did a little train for all the people sitting around us to see. Choo choo. It was late when we got home, but it was a really nice night. Here is a short video from that night to give you a better idea of what Blues on the Green is.
James had one more surprise for me when we got home, he got me a sewing machine. I am really excited, I haven't sewn anything since my freshman year in college, a clothing construction class. So I am looking forward to trying something new. Thanks James I love it.
Oh, man! I missed your birthday! Happy birthday, Lonna! What a fun night. I love Los Lonely Boys and think you scored big time on Wednesday night. I hope you have a fantastic year. Happy belated birthday!
What a great way to spend your birthday! I played the music video and I LOVED the music! Watch out world, Lonna has a sewing machine and she is out to fix the world of bad fashion!
Happy birthday Lonna! I'm glad that James and the kids took such great care of you. So when you learn how to sew, I would like you to post your crafts and instructions on your blog so that I can learn along with you.
What a fantastic birthday!! I am jealous that you even know how to thread the thread through the machine...that was where I knew that sewing and I were really not meant to be, but I am excited to see what comes of this fun new toy! Not that I am counting but only 44 more days!!
Love that conga line!! What a great round of 'find 3 toddlers on the loose at dusk' we had too. And I hope your blanket recovers from the grape scented bubble spill... Thanks again for inviting us to our first Austin concert. Somewhere on Heather's camera are some up close pictures of Los Lonely Boys. I don't know about you but their main song has been in my head ever since. :) Wow, what a great birthday surprise too. I am so excited to see what kind of sewing projects you come out with. I would love to learn how to make little girl clothes, as my attempts last summer were not successful. You will definitely have to pass along any tips/websites you come across!
How nice to get a sewing machine. Mine broke down a few years ago and then our kids gave me one for Christmas a couple of years ago. It is great to have. You will really enjoy having it to sew for Gwen and Harrison.

That's a fun way to spend an evening. Wish we'd been there with you!
What an awesome gift! I love my sewing machine. What will your fist sewing project be?

Did I say 3 toddlers on the loose, I meant 4.
