I have the same problem with Eric. I clip Kaitlin's nails all the time and for a little while Eric would sit peacefully on my lap and have his nails clipped too. Not anymore.
Yes, I think you are the only one. I mean, my kids are jumping up and down and clapping when I pull out the nail clippers! Oh, i wish!! I have started watching a little WWF so I can get some good moves to pull on the kids when it comes to nail clipping time!!However, I do like your move. I'm going to have to try that one!
Oh my goodness, I remember those days! It wasn't so much that they were squirmy, but just the fact that I was always worried I would cut their little fingers and I don't like doing it!
HA! My mom used to make me SING to my (older) brother while he got his nails clipped to distract...like not just whistle a little tune, FULL ON song and dance!
My kids are this way with toenails. I think the last person who successfully clipped them was my dad! But in the case of toenails I think I'm the one who has to be strapped down...I can't stand the sound and the way they fly up and get lost. The whole process, not pleasant. My girls can be bribed, but can I? :)

What a wrestling match! Yes, it was all ways like that for my kids too!
I have the same problem with our boy. He makes it very difficult to cut his fingernails, cut his hair, and of course take a bath.

You are not alone, but it is getting easier. Fingernail polish afterwards is an enticing reward at our house.
