baby jet-setting...or squirming

Ahhh the times of ease on the airplane, when James and I each took one kid, and they slept basically the entire time of travel....where have those days gone? Oh yeah I forgot that I gave those up when I decided to take a trip solo, with both kids. Whoops! So we leave in the morning to head to see our family, and friends in Utah for a few weeks, and I am already frazzled just thinking of how to contain each child on the flights.
Basically I feel like a basket case just really worried that I am going to crack when people shoot me dirty looks because I am traveling with kids, not just one but two, so they outnumber me. A few of my friends have recently made trips in the same situation, one mom, two kids, and they seemed to come out on top, but I am still wary of the damage that Gwen, or a crying Harrison would do to me and those trapped on the same aircraft as us. Deep breaths, deep breaths. I hope that I am just worked up over what will turn out to be crazy thoughts, but with my kids, honestly one never knows what to expect. Wish us luck.

Good luck, Lonna! I can't wait to hear how they did. And how you do. It'll be an adventure, for sure. Have a nice time. We'll miss you.

Good luck! you'll do just fine. I'm assuming at least Gwen has her own seat, in which case I would see if the sticker on the side of her car seat says you can use it on airplanes. Then I would totally lug it through the airport and use it (it's worth the awkwardness). That way she is strapped in and not causing a commotion, just like a car ride. If you got Harrison a ticket, I'd do the same for him. Also, portable DVD player works wonders, as well as stickers or anything new, Gracie got these magnetic princess dress up things that really keep her entertained in a tight situation. Just pack as you would for church and you'll be just fine! And if all goes to pot, who cares! You'll never see these people again, or you can just start crying if people give you dirty looks, that should inflict some guilt and then maybe someone will help you out.
Have a great time on your vacation!

Good luck, and have so much fun!! I'm sure you'll do great on the plane, try to relax. And just pretend no one else is around and don't look at people, then you never know what looks you are getting!!

so... how'd it go?? Lonna, I hope you are planning on calling me while you're here in good ol' Cache Valley. I'd love to see Harrison's new teeth and Gwen's dancing skills.

Have a great trip!

How ever the trip goes, it too will end. It is scary and I admire your courage in tackling the air plane adventure on your own. We so look forward to see you and Gwen & Harrison! Good luck!
