Beijing 2008

I just wanted to say that I love watching the Olympics. Last night I caught a few events and as I was watching some of them I was on the edge of my seat and almost yelling at the t.v. (as if they can really hear the person next to them let alone through the t.v.)

It brought back some good memories from my athletic days doing those sports. I was nervous for the athletes before the events and excited for them at the end too. I must say it is quite rewarding to see the best athletes in the world who have put in all the hard work and time to compete, and I get to just sit back and watch the amazing events and world records being broken. Does anyone else like to watch the summer games?

we are wearing our red white and blue right now! i was loving the events last night. I love the olympics as well. i love how during the olympics, the whole country is cheering for the same thing, how there is such U.S. pride. It's so much fun. I think i woke up my whole family while cheering for the Men's soccer team this morning. An incredible game. Brent wants to go to a later church just so he can see the rest of the b-ball game!! So, I'm with you Lonna. I love the olympics. You can pretty much bet than anytime they are on, we'll be watching!!

I agree I love the Olympics. The nurses at the hospital love us because when we go to feed Ethan we watch the Olympics and this lets them watch them as well. Funny enough he eats really well when we are watching them but not so well when it is really quite.

We recorded the opening ceremonies and watched them yesterday. It was amazing! We then watched some gymnastics and swimming and I actually couldn't help myself, I was yelling at the TV "helping" Dara the swimmer in the relay race. I watched most of the parade of the athletes and noticed how many different verities of beautiful people there are in the world. I didn't know so many of the countries. We enjoy watching too.

Ahh, Lonna I knew you were the real deal when we started exercising, and we ran for the first time and you instantly were in the zone and enjoying yourself. You kept looking back saying it's all in the breathing, and all I could do was gasp for air and try not to throw up.

It's amazing to watch the Olympics, the athletes are machines. And it brings out all this pride for your country. My favorite thing to watch are the clips about the Olympians and who they are and where they came from.

I had to laugh when I read that about cheering from your couch because you are the same way with dancing with the stars. :) We are loving the Olympics as well. Ryan and I like that you don't have to debate who to cheer for, just cheer for your country! I have always loved the gymnastics the best. I watched a documentary about the construction of the Beijing Olympic stadiums and am totally blown away. What a fun summer past time.

So far, I have only watched the opening ceremonies (a part of it) while at my sister's house. Now that I'm home, I hope to watch more.
