sick to my stomach

About 10 minutes ago I sent my baby girl off to the ER with James, to check out her arm that I think is broken. I am sick about it, seeing as I was the one playing with her when I heard the -pop! I really hope that it is not broken, but the way she was babying it and crying I am pretty sure that it is. I guess all I am going to be doing tonight is thinking about what a terrible mom I am and waiting to hear what happens when James gets back. Ugh I think it is going to be a long night.

You are not a bad mother. I accidentally scratched Kaitlin's leg with my ring one day and she bled like crazy. This evening Brian and Eric were rough housing and Eric dove into the stairs and bruised his cheek pretty bad. He'll probably have a black eye in the morning. If she does have to have a cast think of all the pretty colors she gets to choose from.

We all are just doing the best we can, Lonna! I have injured my children. Accidents happen to all of us. Forgive yourself and move on. That is all we can do anyway. I know you are a great Mom!

Ok so as I was reading this I was conjuring up all the memories of my children getting hurt...Maddie spending mother's day in the ER, falling in the lake, not to mention London's motorcycle incident on Christmas. Oh it can happen to anyone, what a miracle children survive past age 3! You are a great mom Lonna and your kids are living proof of that. I hope the arm gets feeling better and I know Gwen has some TLC coming her way.

At least it is your child...we were watching a friend's little girl and she stepped off our bottom stair right behind me and broke both bones in her leg...How does that happen?! Needless to say, we haven't watched her since!

Adam Kelley broke his leg at our house. I still feel guilty about that one, but I'm glad Gwen's okay, and the squirrel picture made me laugh out loud. Is it doctored? Can they really put a cast on a squirrel???

Lindsey has a scar on her foot from me breaking a glass bowl filled with leftover tuna casserole (that sounds like torture in and of itself) when she was about Gwen's age. To this day, I still feel bad about it, but it's not like we do things like this intentionally.

yep....ur a terrible mom! I've never left the iron at the top of the stairs and had my 18 months old pull it down and cut his lip open. Yup...you take the prize! I've got four other kids...wanna know what I did to them?

Yeah, Anna still feels bad that she was the parent around when Evinn broke her arm. I've lucked out and haven't been around for any of her more "serious" injuries. I think I'd fall to pieces.
