Harrison has this little lamb and he LOVES it. We keep it in his bed, and every time he wakes up he holds it like a little baby, and carries it around with him for awhile. Here he brought it to breakfast and he is giving it some loves.

This is the classic do do do do do face that Harrison makes when he is telling you something.

And a little more love for the sheep.
Last night I was super excited because James and Ryan took all of the kids and let Leslie and I finish up some shopping, for ourselves!!! Nice. I had big plans to capture more of the hands free moments, but I was kind of distracted, but I did get a shot of these really cute shoes that Leslie got.

Then after a few hours of shopping and some crazy driving weather we headed back to Leslie's to see if everyone was still alive, you know two men outnumbered by 5, yes 5 children, well this is what we found.

destruction to poor Ryan and Leslie's Christmas tree, courtesy of Gwen. We blocked it off before we left but Gwen was so in love with all of the fun ornaments that I guess nothing could stop her from "looking" at them. She climbed over the barrier and went around the tree and pushed it over! Totally broke it, and some ornaments too. I feel so bad. Of course it was my kids reeking the havoc.

Here are a few of the wounded treasures. I think that I am going to need to make it up to them in a big way. I did a bit of wrapping when we got home and I just keep telling myself that I will be ready before Christmas, I will be ready before Christmas...

hahah, oh no! You think after breaking one ornament she might have gotten nervous and stopped playing with them... doesn't look like that was the case.
we put up only shatter free ornaments this year. probably a good move since our tree has taken a beating as well!! and wrapping presents? what's that? i'll be lucky to finish shopping. wrapping will be an extra special christmas miracle of that gets done. but i'm not surprised you have done a lot of your wrapping. you are a way better mom/wife than i am.
I wish I had some extra $$ so I could get myself a pair of those awesome red shoes!
I'm glad you got to get out and have some alone time. The tree is pretty funny, a little sad, but mostly funny. I find my kids walking around with the garland off our tree all the time, kids just can't help themselves.
Ok so I'm thinking you need to change the title of the post...I don't believe there is any way Gwen can single handedly topple a Christmas tree without help. As I heard the story, the twins were hopping over the barrier the whole night, so if they decided to frame the cousin for the straw that broke the camel's back that is just like them. I do love that this story is part 3 of a little tale that goes something like this:
Part 1: It "snows" in Texas, and inside nonetheless.
Part 2: Can you bring a towel for the kids we put fully clothed into the local pool?
Part 3: A Christmas tree is toppled.
What's next?! I must say I spent a lot of today chuckling to myself, as these stories just keep getting more dramatic.
I am hoping you are telling Gwen it's not her fault and nobody's mad..she's two for crying out loud and Christmas trees come and go. Though maybe next time you and I go to the outlets we can switch off shopping and putting quarters into the mechanical horses for our 5 kids. :) Because there will be a next time, I am loving all of our finds. There is no beating a shopping trip with you Lonna...Yes you will be ready for Christmas and so will I.
I think I'll invite your family over sometime....
after Christmas. lol.
I love the pictures of Harry and the little lamb! That is so cute and he is all ready to be a shepherd for the Christmas play! Things break...that is the law of the universe.
TIMBER!!! This is exactly why our tree is fastened to the door with a piece of twine...to protect it from 2 curious boys and 2 very large cats!!
