daddy's boy
Tonight as I was wrapping up the bath routine, Harrison was getting pretty tired. When he is tired he gets a little whiny and starts to talk to get our attention. I dressed Gwen and was cleaning up the bathroom really quick when out of the blue a little voice from the bouncy chair starts saying "Da-da"! What!
Are you kidding me. I just stand there looking at him thinking to myself, after all that the mom does for you, and all the time that we spend together, the dad still wins. I will say that James has been coaching Harrison since he started making the "B" sounds. I guess that I should have been more on top of that. Well on the up side I must say that I was glad to be there for the first time he yelled at his parents. Oh how fast they grow up.

Now when harrison needs something, hopefully he will yell for "da-da" and then you're off the hook!
I was sure Harry's first word would be a food, lol! Maybe he couldn't narrow it down to just one, I know I could not! But da-da, typical. If I'd known he'd been practicing I would have been working on Aunt Leslie. Oh well, there's plenty of time for that. A talker already? I can hardly believe it!
Harry? I've never heard that nickname for Harrison yet.
I can relate. My kids just love it when Dad comes home and I'm looking around thinking, "Why doesn't anyone start jumping up and down when I walk in the door?"
That's great that Harrison is starting to talk. So cute.
I know how you feel, that is still all Hannah says...and Abby was the same way. Someday maybe I'll get over it. But hey at least he is saying something right?
his next word better be paige!!
wow! His first word. He is growing up too fast. I think you should press lightly on his head every morning and say 'slow down'. Can't wait to see you all NEXT WEEK!
The story of life Lonna. Dad's always more fun. At least that's how it is in our household. All of mine said 'Dada' first. It's so wrong isn't it? Well I'm content to know (or hope) they'll be calling 'Mom' as the years go by.
