when things get too quiet

We had Ryan and the twins over for dinner last night while Leslie is away, and after we had eaten I ran to the store to grab some ice cream for a treat. I was not gone more than 15 minutes and when I cam back I opened the door and heard little giggles and "its snowing". It wasn't until I rounded the corner that I saw these little girls covered, I mean covered in paper from the paper shredder. I yelled out to James hey have you seen this? He and Ryan came out of the other room and the first thing that they said was," I knew that it was a little too quiet."

Silly girls, while we cleaned up they stayed out of the way and ate ice cream. What a great life. I am out the door to the dentist. I hope to have good things to say when I return.

Wow! It does snow in Austin! I am glad ice cream does its magic again! Good luck at the dentist!

I probably wouldn't be too happy with Brent had I come home to this!! I would have had to sit down and eat ice cream while it was being cleaned up!! Good luck today.

Eric hasn't found our paper shredded yet. I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I think the true question is, did Ryan and James introduce the kids to the snow after they had already played in it. I think is what happened is that those two were playing in it and heard your car so they grabbed the kids and showed them what a fun game it is. Fathers they always invent the best games.

1-I'm pretty sure this idea was spearheaded by the same girls who went "fishing" with toothbrushes in the toilet last week.
2-This scene was so much worse than Ryan described it!
3-Ryan conveniently forgot to mention to me that he and James were "in charge.'
4-At least no permanent markers were involved (like last time it was too quiet at our house).
Oh well, looks like they at least had fun and thank you for feeding Ryan dinner, even if it is the last time we may be invited to your house. :)

No way!!!!!! THat is killin' me. You're such a fun patient mom, I'd be like "clean up clean up clean up now!" And Brooklyn, being OCD, would be freaking out if her friends were messing the place up, LOL. SHe's so silly. She's just like me. I looove all the little pics and stories below of Gwen. I would do anything to see her and Brooklyn together now. Harrison's smile is to die for. What a cute cute kid!!!!

Are these twins your nieces that just moved to Texas? They look like they had a fun time at least. It's one of those situations that you want to laugh, but don't want them to see you laugh, or they'll think they can do this all the time.
