the power of floss

When the dentist came in to do his little assessment, upon hearing the report of healthy teeth he sounded really disappointed that I was not going to need anymore work. I think after the last time I was in he thought he would be able to pay off his summer home from me alone. Not today sir! I would just like to say that I think that my small love of flossing has saved me yet again. Hooray for dental floss.

congratulations! You have proven that flossing works! Nice one, to foil the Dentist's summer home payoff!
Lonna, I'm beaming with pride. I can't tell you how exciting it is to hear about someone who actually flosses. I am constantly telling my patients how much less they would spend in dental bills if only they would take that two minutes out of their day to floss their teeth (along with another two minutes morning and night to brush... You wouldn't believe how many people don't even do that) All in all that's 6 minutes of your day spent on taking care of your teeth, that's NOTHING in comparison to how much time you spend doing everything else. Anyway, kudos to you!
Good work, way to take care of your teeth!! And I am glad you are working on overcoming your fear of the dentist.
congrats on no cavities! i would rather go in for my yearly ob exam than go to the dentist - and i even worked at a dental office for 2 years!!
I'm glad to hear you were given a clean bill of oral health.
Way to go, Lonna! You should give yourself a sticker! That's a great relief for you, I'm sure. I just went last week and I'm pretty good right after my appointment, but tend to slack off until the next one in six months. I'm proud of you!
Kudos on the excellent check-up. You must be doing something right. I'm with you on the regular check-up's...not so good about it. I'm hoping to have a decent check-up when I go again in 2 years. ;)
I too make it to the dentist about every two years. It is so intimidating because I am constantly worrying about the same issue-funding summer homes from my mouth alone. Flossing has been my new year's resolution for at least two years. I am getting better, however nothing like a little persuasion from someone who came out with no cavities. You should be patting yourself on the back that your teeth survived two pregnancies and came out perfect! Okay, you've got me convinced. Floss it is. :)
