girly girl stuff

Yesterday I had a moment that I have been waiting for since I found out that I was having Gwen...she actually wanted, and let me paint her finger and toe nails. Thanks to Paige for giving her these little polishes she was so excited to "use" them.
She was asking me for "shiny pink" and "the purple one".
The drying process was a little tricky because as soon as I had finished she wanted to be back to playing, so I tried to get her to blow air on them, but there were a few casualties. Over all thought I have to say that it was moment that any mom would be so proud of.
We also took a trip to Zilker Park and rode the little train and played outside, even though I was melting in the heat. Here is Gwen "pretend posing" for the camera. Hey I was just glad that she was looking at the camera. She is getting more independent and grown up all the time, I just love it.

Nicely done Lonna. They look great. It's been a while since I've done Abby's and I haven't even tried Hannah's, maybe I should give it a shot.

You are a great mom. I wish Gracie would let me paint her nails, she insists on doing it herself. Live it up while you can!

Oh I am so jealous! I don't think, well I hope, that my boys are never going to ask me to do that! Don't you just love how grown up they are becoming! It's so nice to ask them whats wrong and have them tell you!! I love it too! We can't wait to play with you guys... only 34 days!!

she looks great in it. i'm glad she was able to hold still for you to get the job done. i hope she continues to let you just paint them and doesn't demand a full pedicure and massage.

Omigosh, it's a good thing you painted her finger and toenails because one thing your daughter needed was to be JUST A LITTLE BIG CUTER! She is sooooo cute, I seriously have to restrain myself when I see her in nursery because I'm afraid of coming across freaky. Do I miss having baby girls? Maybe! But not enough to have another of course. I'll just dote on yours!

(Hey, tonight's meeting was fun! Well, I had fun. Hope you did too. :-))

I too love giving my girls a little bit of glamor! I'm so glad Gwen understands now that beauty often comes with sacrifice ie holding still! :) It's totally worth it though for those cute toes. My girls have been known to smudge and re-smudge a perfectly good manicure, not to mention what happens the next day in the pool. Oh it is so much work to be a girl, but so much fun to be their mom!!
