Autumn begins

Cooler temps in the evenings sure do make the Autumn comfortable.
I love the pumpkins and gourds. The colors and the shapes, and carving them with friends is great too.
Oh how I love the seasonal foods that are served in the fall, like butternut squash soup, pumpkin breads, and pies, pies, pies!
I really like when fall fashions come out, I love sweaters, even though it seems silly to buy them while living here in Texas. When I was in high school and college I could hardly wait for the first fall catalogs to come out from my favorite clothing shops.
Warm Apple cider and glazed doughnuts.
Pumpkin patches and being able to play outside with the kids without sweating to death.
Oh and who could forget Halloween candy.
So as for the crisp clean air and the longer hours of darkness I am so ready.

I love fall too. The leaves are starting to change and it is getting quite cool at night. I'm looking forward to Halloween!
The colors are all changing here and I always think of you, Les & Jen who miss seeing the changing of the colors. Love that picture you posted!
Wish you were here, we now have horses in the back...Nina's yard. Of course they would come when our visitors are gone!
I love this post and agree with you 100 percent. Fall is my FAVORITE! What a pretty picture of the leaves this is too! Happy fall, Lonna!
oh nice list! You're making me hungry with all these appetizing foods you're talking about. Fall is great, even though it's the short pre-cursor to the longest, most drawn out season Cache Valley has to offer.
I love fall, but I hate what follows.. WINTER.. crazy drivers..
Your list was wonderful, the leaves are turning to such vibrant oranges, reds, yellows.. it is beautiful..
I hope all is well for you guys..
Miss you!

i'm a huge fan of fall. i love when the leaves start changing colors and there is a crisp breeze that rolls in. I love the falls in Utah. It was so pretty. However, I can't complain about the falls in Texas either. Pretty close to perfect.
Fall is my favorite season by far! And it sounds like it still exists here in Austin. I'm beginning to think that everyone here makes these things up that it will in fact cool down eventually. :) I am a huge fan of Halloween too; we will have to have some sort of little party for the kids.
