Our ward trunk or treat festivities were last night, and we started and ended at this outside fishing pond...naturally out of costumes due to the fact that they don't fit in the car seat straps. Here is Gwen testing out the fishing water.

Harrison the giant panda. Sorry Becky, but he was not a panda due to kung fu panda, we didn't even see that movie. ( I don't think the kids would sit through a movie if the world was riding on it, and there were non stop treats.)

Panda's and dinosaurs like fishing, especially because there is water, and candy involved.

Here is Harry at the inside fishing pond, he is not quite sure what to do with a note pad shaped like a truck. ( you can tell by the stunned hands)

We made the inside rounds and ended up back outside at the watering hole, and Harrison decided that it was time for a swim, and in mere seconds he was doing a face plant into the kiddie pool, so now he is just a boy in tights while the panda drys off in the car.

Gwen was fishing, and it looks like she has lost her excitement for the whole idea of the party...nope she just strategically placed herself next to the candy, no need to really fish when you have the jackpot at your fingertips. Clever Gwen, very clever. Did your dad teach you that?
After a little dinner it was time to make the trunk rounds. And I think that Gwen got enough candy to last her until next year. I might need to help her eat it, just so she won't get sick of it of course.

I've been wasting time tonight using the "Next Blog" button on Blogger. I'm a Leander mom so it was fun to come across an Austin mom's blog! I really like your design--very cute.
Okay... I LOVE the panda suit. Wish we could have seen it live. It's been a while since I checked in here, but I love the new look and reading up on the Austin Barlows and their insights in general.
I had no idea that Harrison decided to go swimming! It seemed like a good idea at the time, I suppose! Way to go, Gwen. I like that strategy of sitting right by the candy bowl. Those costumes were so awesome.
I LOVE the costumes! I laughed and laughed at the panda! Is there a cuter panda or tyrannosaurs on the entire planet? I think not!
sounds like avery and harrison are built out of the same mold. instead of falling in though she pushed down on the side of the pool letting out all the water and totally drenching her feet. chris chase didn't notice it and then after a while said "oh man, this this is leaking." I thought the halloween party was a very fun night. Both of your kids looked great in their costumes. Glad the trunk or treat gets them warmed up for the real deal!!
I have to agree about that being the cutest Panda ever! How do you get him to stay in his costume? Logan freaks out the second we take it out.
There's nothing like stretching out Halloween ALL week long! Great costumes!
