irritated sound off

With less than three weeks left until the presidential election I find myself growing more and more irritated with things that I hear going on around me. I may not be the most publicly political person, in fact I am most likely to shy away from the political conversations just because they tend to get ugly no matter what.

Today I was flipping through the channels during the kids nap time, and I came across a channel that was reporting that Madonna has taken it upon herself to sing rude songs and bash Palin at each of her concerts during her tour. And while I was just running to the store to grab some milk the other day I was cornered and told terrible things that Obama has done during his life, by a stranger, for twenty minutes!

Seriously people!! We as a nation have some issues, we know that, but I do find it crazy how it seems we are pulled into the dirty political tactics going on by being swayed by our favorite celebrities. Now don't get me wrong I love my Hollywood drama as much as the next girl, but I am growing tired of the back and forth voting banter quite rapidly.

A lot of us look forward to the election being over with because the drama is getting old, I do agree.

I agree!! People just need to vote for who they want and get over it already!

Here Here! It seems like there's more time spent pointing out each politicians flaws then spent actually talking about how the country can be improved. Let's focus on the positive not the negative people. You're lucky you don't work for my employer. All day long I hear him spewing off misinformation about Obama, I just try to tune him out because even if I corrected his facts he would still believe what he wants to believe...

I'm with you 100% Lonna! I am SO tired of the temper tantrums and childishness of both candidates and many of those who endorse them from celebrities etc! I will be so glad when Nov 6th has passed on. Let people decide for themselves.

Oh I couldn't agree more Lonna. How is it that we hear so much political "advice" from celebrities who are at best, high school educated? And cornered at the grocery store, now there is a predicament. I too will be glad when the election is over...hopefully the dirty shenanigans will be too.
