The glory of morning

Since the time change things have been a little different around here, as in a little earlier, and a little less sleep. Who am I kidding, a lot earlier. It seems as though morning comes too early everyday.

I used to think that the kids were so great, little angels that let me sleep in until 7 or 7:30 everyday and the occasional treat of 8 am!!! Since we changed the clocks I feel lucky if we have sleeping silence until 6 am. All I can say at this point in our days is thank goodness for naps. Basically a little lifesaver and mental retreat for everyone in the house.

I wonder what will happen in the spring when we alter our trusty clocks once again, will we return to the wonder days of the 8am mornings, or find ourselves pushed into the 4 am days, if the earlier time wins I suppose that I better come up with something more productive for myself to be doing at that hour. I feel like I should say something like working out, but that just doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I suppose that I will just have to wait and see what father time brings us.

For all of you that are getting to sleep in each morning, just know that I am happy for you, as well as just a little bit jealous too.

The time change has messed us all up too. Eric wakes up when Brian leaves in the morning (between 6 &6:30). I guess I need to starting going to bed when the kids go to bed because I am tired and cranky a lot.

I second that! The time change messed up, Payton especially. We are waking up at the same time, but for some reason we are going to bed later...that doesn't make ANY sense, but it is what it is and I want life before the time change back!!

we are finally back on a schedule of waking up at a normal time. however, if i could just get tyson to sleep the whole night without getting up, then i might actually get a good night's rest! he's usually up 2-3 times a night! that's killing me! I hope that your kids start to extend their sleeping times so that you can get some rest as well!

Well an amen from the mother of a newborn, whose twins never sleep anyways...It always seems to be a trade-off which kid is the insomniac. Who am I kidding now I am the insomniac. I feel your pain and welcome the naps when we can get them. Some days I think I would die without a nap! What has a mom got to do to get a decent night's sleep!?

I don't like the time change. It has messed up my schedule. I am sorry it is affecting you so much! I am glad you get naps to balance it out a bit!

I think we're finally getting back on track, we've had our fair share of 5 am wake ups though, like a year straight.

Unfortunately the only solution I've found is to get up before your kids. then you don't really care when they wake up.
It's not a very good solution, is it?
