It was time to return to the doctors office for our two month immunization shots, and let me tell you that Harrison had his fair share...5 different immunizations all together! Yikes!

He was a trooper but it was sad to hear him get stuck over and over. It is a good thing that we are clear for the next two months, just enough time to heal mentally and emotionally. And on a side note Gwen was the best that she has ever been at the Dr. Maybe it's because she was the one that was playing and not being poked and prodded.

Ouch! That smarts! I am glad he has something to put the needle in though....those are some, cute, thighs!
oh my heck, what chunk! He is so cute and I agree with Syl, if he has to be a pin cushion, at least he's a good one, nice and round. Although I am a very adamant supporter or immunizations, i think that will be one of the hardest things as a mother is to watch your little baby get poked over and over.
What a cute little guy, I would say he looks a little disgruntled about the situation. And I know you have a thing about matching band-aids maybe he is also disgruntled about the pink band-aid.
Hey Harrison, so sorry about the abundance of pokes, I didn't realize they did so many at a time, we used to think two at a time was awful. I guess in Texas they do things in a big way. Love Grandma and Grandpa D.
Crystal I will admit that the shots are rough, but the worst is the belliruben (I honestly don't know how to spell that) It is done within a day after their birth, and if it tests high, like both of ours did, then you have to do it again I was sobbing as they pinned down Gwen. And with Harrison I welled up big time. You can't help but feel for them because they are so little.
Lonna, yes I do have to sensitize my hip and once that has turned into a rash then I quit sensitizing my hip and then I put a different medication on the warts. I have heard so many good things about this med so I hope that it works. Thanks for the support.
bless his heart. the 2 month shots always make me teary eyed, but after that i'm pretty tough. hope he doesn't have too many affects from the shots.
it doesn't itch like crazy, it just stings like a mother. I really am concerned that quite possibly I'm not having the right reaction and therefore it's not going to work...
Lonna,
Those are some cute legs on that guy!
I still cry when my kids get shots. Alyssa just got a flu shot (She is 10) and I cried when she said "OW" So, maybe somethings never change!
Suzy
Poor baby! Kaitlin has her 2 month checkup the Friday before Christmas. We are blessing her the Sunday before Christmas so I'm sure all these shots will make her nice and grouchy for the blessing.
I love the title of your post. Don't you love going to the doctor...Hannah is due for her 6 month but I'm not ready yet...I'm glad I got to see you this trip...I'll be back soon to do it again.
An odd number of shots and mis-matching band-aids, now there is a bad combo. I am sorry it was such a traumatic doctor visit, though it must have helped that Gwen was so good. You are lucky you weren't the mom juggling two kids screaming bloody murder-oh wait, that was us last week at Smith's. :)
Oh my goodness! OUCH! That looks like cruel and unusual punishment. Why can't they just put everything they need to in one needle, then poke you once? Poor little Harrison. I loved the title to your post.
I usually like to make my comments, then I'll sometimes glance at what others say. Sierra and I had the exact same thoughts...GMTA!!!
