just another day in our life

My friend Jennie issued a challenge to document one of our typical days in life, and I was glad to take on the task, but I feel like there were lots of moments where I was just picking up toys, watching any or all of Gwen's favorite movies (Madagascar,Wall-E,Kung Fu Panda), changing diapers, or playing on the computer.

So basically the baby alarms wake me up bright and early (5:30-6:30-ish) then it is a mad flourish of things between breakfast, playing, outside activities, movies, dishes (where I found the letter "N" waiting for me yesterday), and picking up lots and lots of toys.

We had playgroup so we met up with friends to play and chat, have lunch and then home for naps (my favorite), cookies that Paige made, laundry and a little celebrity dish.
Our evenings are pretty much playing, jumping on moms bed, dinner, tonight it was mac and cheese, baths (my kids need one for sure after being caked with yellow- orange processed cheese) Then play time and off to bed by 8 pm. Then I basically waste the rest of the night cleaning up and doing whatever else passes the time before bed. Then I call it a day.

Sounds busy!!! It is good you get to do play groups and get out of the house for awhile. I always find that refreshing.

what a fun idea! If I could figure out how to do the collage I might give it a try.

I love you guys' typical day posts. How fun! And I do feel bad for you that your kids get up so early. I feel bad for myself sometimes when my kids are up by 8. I guess I'm just not a morning person.

they sure do look peaceful when they are taking naps! and they both look very cute in their pj's. we had mac and cheese last night as well! just one of those nights for us, but your kids are lucky - you put butter in yours! my kids get the butterless kind - not as much fun or as good!! it's fun to see a day in your life!!

What happened to Harrison's lip? That is one busy schedule and I'm sure you have more to look forward to we did and it gets pretty busy but when it's time to come home at night it is like heaven. "All are safely gathered in"' There can't be anything better than that. God Bless and have a Happy Thanksgiving. Love from home.

SO much fun to see what you guys are up to, it's amazing what we moms have to do behind the scenes to make one day go smoothly. I think you need to teach a class on how to effectively entertain your kids while keeping your house clean and having a dazzling social life, not to mention squeezing in some time to relax and actually enjoy said children. Yes I would enroll in that one. It seems I can successfully do about one of those things in a given day! Hopefully soon I can work my way up, but seriously, send me some tips. :) I love the letter N in the dishwasher. Life with toddlers is full of surprises!!
