negotiations and such
This morning when I was getting a yummy breakfast ready for all of us (meaning waffles with fresh strawberries, for the kids and I), Gwen asked me:
Gwen: Can I have a cookie?
Me: How about some breakfast it will be really good, it has strawberries on top.
Gwen: I just want a cookie.
Me: What about after you eat your breakfast, then we will see if you still want one.
Gwen: Well, how about just a little piece first?
Me: How about some waffles.
Gwen: I could just bite it.
Me: Who told you this was a negotiation?
She just smiled and waited for a cookie. Nice Gwen I wonder if she has tried that one on her dad.
Here are a few pictures from this last week. First off Gwen had a physical to make sure that she was healthy enough to have her dental work taken care of. Here are the kids playing in one of the kids waiting rooms at our Dr.s office.

Here is one tired kid who didn't even make it through his lunch. And also showing us how real men eat meat. Rudy's meat.

Also here he is showing a little of his skills in fixing the box that he sits in, I suppose that he may just come in handy for car repairs when we may need them.
Good work Harrison. Glad to see that you are prepared to pull your own weight around here.

So how did Gwen's physical go? I love seeing Gwen and Harrison at work (play?). Thanks for sharing!
ARC on Anderson Mill...spent many hours there with Nicholas and allergy shots!
Wow, Gwen really knows how to work it, I'm super impressed. I need to take some pointers from her. Where did she learn these negotiation skills from, is this another hidden talent that you have Lonna?
So how did the dentist go? Was she a good girl? (interestingly enough, I've never heard of a "physical" prior to dental work)
Gwen is quite the negotiator! I can't say I don't have those same conversations with myself every morning: breakfast or cookie, breakfast/cookie? And if your three year old is anything like ours and operates at a high-pitched whine you, like me, probably throw your hands up and give in before the migraines come back. :)
I love how Harry combines a good meal and a good nap, now there is some multi-tasking! We could really use him around here if he's into fixing technical problems. He's probably already better than me!
I hope the dentist goes well...Keep us posted!
I can't stand the suspense...Did she get the cookie pre-waffle?
Well Wes, I can't believe that I am going to admit it, but yes I did give her half a cookie to munch on while I finished up getting the "real" breakfast ready. I do feel like she won that one fair and square.
You are wonder mom! Waffles and strawberries for breakfast! We only get pancakes and waffles on the weekend when daddy can make them.
Hey a tough negotiator/persuader should have her reward... and let's be honest who can say no to that face, you're lucky you got away with half a cookie.
Don't you just love trying to reason with kids? Smart little Gwen. And I love that picture of Harrison asleep eating!!
