This year we opted for a little painting of pumpkins instead of scooping the guts and goo. Gwen and Harrison were really excited to be the master artists of their own pumpkins, but lets just say that either way you look at it, pumpkins are a messy deal.

Here is what mine looked like before...

artists hard at work.

And here are the finished products. Do you know who made what pumpkin? Well we shall see how long they last, I mean really they only have to survive four more days, around here that is asking quite a lot though. Alright Halloween we are ready for you.

very cute and creative. We will definatley be painting next year. We carved Snow White in our's this year and I went out today and it was totally rotted with bugs and everything. It was disgusting so yes we will be painting next year!
Your pumpkins turned out way cutier than ours! You will have to show us how it is done next year! :) Happy (almost) Halloween!
i saw those pumpkins at HEB and thought they were so cute. I thought painting would probably be a good choice for us, but we opted for carving this year. Even with all the pumpkin goo, it looks like it was a little less messy!! But it looks like it was a great time and you created quite the masterpieces!
I want to guess. In order L to R : James, Lonna, Harrison, Gwen. Is that right?
That is such a cute idea! They all look so serious in their creativity!I love those faces!
I love those pumpkins! Now I want to do some more and paint them! Have you seen the glitter ones.. very cute! Anyway... I like your mummy.. and James' checkers are awesome!!
I forgot to list the order. It is Lonna, James, Gwen, Harrison.
Lonna, who knew what an artist you are!? Those pumpkins look fab! I can even tell how cute the faces were on Gwen and Harry's under the sludge of paint. Seriously, so talented. The mummy idea is ingenious.
In response to your comment. I just loved the baby gift you sent me. I remember exactly the feelings I had when I came delivered to me on my doorstep and seeing the cute dress and shoes inside. I don't think I loved anything more than I did that box of treasures. Hazel wore her sparkly shoes just yesterday but I'll be darned if she will ever fit in the adorable 6 month dress you sent. She's such a mini might. I put it on every sunday hoping that it fits better. It's getting closer...
Oh you are so smart to whip out the paint set and not the knife set with this one. A lesson we learned the hard way with a whole bunch of seeds that the kids think need to be planted, or washed, or made into a pet. Also, we have learned this year that pumpkins tend to rot, and rather quickly. Yes, paint would have been the way to go! And what a masterpiece you have created too! I am wondering now if you followed some type of pattern, or if you just whipped these out off the top of your head. It is no surprise that G & H turned out to be artists in the making. I just may put them to work on my house...
Can't wait to see little H & G dressed up as H & G, even the initials match too-how appropriate- I knew you would come up with something magical!
