So for those of you who know me know that I have always been against the mini van, well when we brought Harrison home from the hospital and had two kid seats and all of our stuff even sitting in the front seat felt cramped. That is when we started looking for something a little bigger...but not in the mini van area. So I am sure that you are wondering how we ended up with one.

Do you see all that room? This puppy is like a transformer on the inside. It really does all the tricks that you can imagine. It has bells and whistles that make it practically livable. Really it is so practical for our needs.

So really my biggest qualm with mini vans is the outside look...but I have to say that I really don't mind this one. This has been a big lesson to me to never say never.

What kind of mini-van is it? You didn't hear it here but good move, I would love more room, and to not have to bend over or hit the kids head on the roof would be nice also.

I was not quiet about my distaste for minivans. I swore up and down that we would NEVER get a minivan. We made it until Benjamin was 6 months old and then we caved. It is just so darn convenient and spacious. I would always curse and "minivan drivers" and their blatant ignorance to anything going on around them. Now when I find myself being a little less than extremely cautious in my driving I feel justified, "It's okay, I'm in a minivan. People don't expect much from me" Sorry to clutter your comments box. It looks like a sweet ride! Congrats.
Wow! It sure looks nice and I like the color too. Gwen looks especially happy showing off the car seat!
Love,
Syl
I always thought the same thing...but now I'm so jealous that you have one.
Oh I am sorry I forgot to tell you what kind it is Jen. It is a Nissan Quest. And I will tell you my favorite thing about it. It has these sky light windows that run the length of the van and over each of the passenger seats there is a little shade that you can pull to cover the window. Basically it is like having your own personal sun roof.
Yeah, Anna said, when we have our second child we are getting a mini-van. I feel so old now.
I have said never on the mini-van, though at some point I wonder if I'll come to terms with it. I think yours was a great find, and who can't use all that space? I love all the little extra features that it comes with-they make for convenient traveling when you've got little ones in tow. I think you guys should be in a commercial for Nissan...Gwen sure looks ready to travel in style! Mini-vans have come a long way since my childhood. I may have to reserve my 'never' for the suburban, now there is something I should NEVER be let behind the wheel of.
i think it's just great. it has so many features. there is nothing to be embarassed about with that great car. plus, you look great driving it!!
oh no, I can see that happening to me. I have ALWAYS been against mini-vans, but the more I see young families and the hassels of taking multiple car seats in and out of the car, trying to find space for everything and trying to fit other people in, a mini-van is seeming more and more practical. Yours does seem very nice. Good purchase.
Lonna, everytime I go to California, we rent a mini-van and I rave about the space and how easy it is for everyone to get in and out. By the time I'm up for a new car...I think Kathrine will be driving herself everywhere. I think mini-vans have come a LONG way since I had my first child. They are great for little ones. Good choice...you'll love it!
Lonna,
I used to always say that I would never have a 4 door car.. Now, I drive this big old Honda Pilot. I just think that they make it so nice and easy! 3rd row seating, climate control, and all the good stuff that we never had when we were kids!!
Congrats.
Love
Suzy
I never thought I would be jealous of someone's new mini van, but I have to admit that I am. I really want a bigger vehicle too. I hope you enjoy you new ride!
I love it! I've never had a minivan, but when we're in them, I think they're awesome. Congratulations.
Dad says to tell you, that's not a mini van that's a BMW a big mormon wagon, and when you start hauling all the boys to den meeting your going to need a big Mormon Assault vehicle, a chevy suburban or a 15 passenger Ford van. Welcome to family life. Your brother Mark and family just upgraded to a mini van also. Now all of of our married kids own one. Way to go, We love it. And we love you!!! Mom and Dad
wow, you got a lot of comments on this one. I have to say, I was completely shocked, that one, you got a new car, and two, it is a mini van. But it looks like it will be great and I always have preferred roomy and comfortable over looks.
I'm in the market for a new mini van too since I totaled mine last week. ugghhh. (no one was hurt) I thought about an SUV but dang you just can't beat the roominess of the minivan. YEE-HAW!
