not really my night

Remember the Elementary classics by Shel Silverstine? Well tonight I was contemplating the poem of "One Sister for Sale" but with a little bit of a twist. More like a crying infant for sale. The tension was high around here as we tried everything that we could think of, and finally the little lad is asleep, and we are taking some deep breaths. We will see how tomorrow goes. Breathe.

OH, what a bummer. It's always good to admire them when they are sleeping becuase they're so innocent and sweet looking then. This time will go by faster than it seems like now. I miss my kids being little like that sometimes. Not always, but it does happen!

I'm sorry you had a fussy baby day. I don't like days like that. But isn't it wonderful to watch these sweet little ones sleep. My favorite time of day is when both my little ones are asleep in their beds and I can finally have a moment to relax, recharge my batteries and prepare for another day of fussy baby and grumpy toddler.

That really is difficult when that happens! I hope it happens less and less as he gets older. Boy does he owe you big time!

Lonna, I am sorry that he was so fussy!
If I were closer, I would have kidnapped him so you could have a few moments of silence.

Anyway, give him a love for me!!
Love,
Suzy

Yeah, we've been having a few of those lately. It's funny how quietly you can do things after one of these episodes.

Oh we'll take him! I must say my patience for crying infants is longer than that for whining toddlers. It probably depends on what you happen to hear all day...I can definitely relate to the nights of high tension and trying everything, even if a distant memory. I am glad you came out with a sleeping baby in the end. There really is nothing quite so rewarding.
