So this is normal Harrison. Playing in the pantry, pulling out things that he knows that he shouldn't be playing with, making a mess, you know the everyday sort of stuff. Well a little while ago we decided to start Gwen in a little joy school, a couple days a week kind of thing, just to see how she would do. On the first day I was nervous to let her go all by herself, but what I didn't think about was what her sidekick Harrison would be doing without her. It was one of the saddest things I have ever seen. Poor little guy, he wandered from room to room looking for her and then I found him like this...

hulled up in a corner so sad. I didn't realize that by sending Gwen to play with some friends was going to bring on a case of depression for Harrison. The whole time she was gone he just wanted to be held and to cuddle. So while Gwen was doing this at school, (that is a chefs hat)

Harrison was doing this at home, waiting just waiting.

And when she did come home we had some lunch and Harrison didn't let her out of his sight the rest of the afternoon.

I asked Gwen if she had fun at school and tried to get her to tell me about it, but she was much much more interested in eating lunch and playing with Harrison and the toys. So maybe she missed him too.

Hi Lonna! How are you? I love your blog and reading your thoughts! Gwen is so beautiful. Harrison is cute as ever and sounds like he's a normal little guy going around getting into everything. How sad to see him missin' his big sister. Kind of breaks your heart, but gladdens you at the same time, knowing they love each other so much! I felt for you on your post about Gwen's teeth...if she's anything like Kathrine, she's got soft teeth and cavities are going to be a fact of life....(Kathrine doesn't help herself with her sweet tooth either...)
Anyway....I'm always so glad to see you keep your blog up! It's like a little treat waiting for me to open when I have some spare time. Take care~ Come and visit me sometime....Lots to do here!
How sad!! What great friends. Hannah started out the same way and always asks where Abby is but now she finds that that is her time to play with all the toys Abby doesn't let her play with. Give it a few times and hopefully little Harrison will get used to it and enjoy his alone time with mommy.
Oh, that is so sad. Poor little Harrison!
Oh how sad! That poor kid! I don't know how you would be able to let Gwen go after that! She will have to be home schooled or something!
Poor Harrison. Avery was the same way when Tyson first went to school. She has quickly realized that not having him around means free reign of all the toys so she now enjoys her quiet days while he is gone! And the best part is that Gwen is having fun so both kids will benefit!
That is so sweet. Brothers and sisters are so funny. They drive each other nuts, but they can't live without each other either. Mine miss each other too when they are separated. It's a good thing.
I think Kaitlin would be overjoyed to have Eric gone for the afternoon. He takes all of her toys away and makes her cry. Plus she would have me all to herself. Your kids are so cute!
Oh that is so sad! Poor Harrison! Life is full of separations....not my favorite part of life for sure!
Those two! It actually doesn't surprise me that Gwen and Harry are two peas in a pod! Oh that picture of Harry in the corner makes me want to cry...
Wow, I have been wondering for some time what would happen if we ever separated the twins, and I guess you've tested those waters. :)
By the way, that is such a great picture of Gwen in the chef's hat! What is all this talk about not wanting to have her picture taken? The camera loves her!
I'm glad Gwen enjoyed preschool, and thank you for all the fun tips. I just may start one of those yet.
Oh, how sweet. Mosey was just bereft when his brothers went to school, too. Starting from about 10 minutes after they left for school, he would start asking me, "Is it time to go pick up Brigham and Joseph yet?" No, not yet, sweetie.
Mosey is especially loving the homeschool thing for that reason.
It is so cute and wonderful that your kids love each other so much.
Oh Lonna.. I just smiled when I read that post!
My kids always say that they "can't wait" until the others leave.. but once separtation happens.. they don't know what to think!!!
Love
Suzy
That is the sweetest thing I've ever seen! May they always be such good friends.
Pretty cute? Any better this week?
Poor little Harry!! I would be sad too if my best friend left for...oh wait! My best friend did leave...to TEXAS!! I sympathize Harry!!
