the pixie nix
Now as Spring is in full swing in most places (northern Utah excluded) I have had a topic on my mind for many months thinking that I was going to get into the season with a new me, no I am no joining a gym, honestly people do you really think that I am that ambitious. There are some days when I just feel really bad for James that he has to love me because I don't feel very pretty. I have always considered myself to be rather plain, I don't wear a ton of makeup (mostly because I am lazy and in the summer it would melt off my face before 8 am around here anyway) I am not really a big jewelery wearer, I have thought at many times that I would like to be, but basically the kids are not so friendly with the jewelery that I have attempted in the past, and I don't really get dressed up for many things. So I guess what I am saying is that the thing that I can and do change is my hair.
I have been looking for a new style for quite some time now, but I have not really seen too many things that I am really loving, and well I am looking for something fun and simple. Here are some of the ones that I have found that I do like.
I like the shape of this one and I have to say that it looks like something that I just might be able to manage. Then there is the style that James is always pushing for...the pixie. Yes ladies you heard correct. I have not heard of many husbands that are pushing for the super short cut, but James is totally one of them. As of today I am just a tiny bit intimidated by the pixie, not so much the chopping off of all the hair, as much as the part that it totally stinks to get your hair ready for another style after that, the in between hair is the worst.
So now I would like a little feed back, do you like any of these styles, if so which one, or maybe you have found something better...I would like to know. And if you don't have anything nice to say, well just comment as an anonymous, but don't hold in your true feelings.

Lonna, I'm so excited for you! You have to do the Posh hair. I have always wanted to do something real short and cute like that; just think how easy the maintenance would be, but alas, my face has never been skinny enough to pull it off. You would look fantastic, however, I understand the grow-out dilemma... Don't worry, no matter how bad the grow-out stage is, you hair will always be silky smooth with your "hydrating poo" :)
OOooohhhh! LOVE the pixie idea! You have the perfect facial structure (Do I sound official or what?!) to pull it off! DO it!
I'm jealous of people that can do it because I definitely can't! My husband has gently told me that I "need to have long hair"! haha!
I really like all the haircuts, really. and I think you are one of the loveliest women I know. You don't need to wear makeup, your natural beauty is already pretty overwhelming. I do think you would look good in the pixie cut, but the others would look good too.
I have to agree, you are one of the prettiest women I know, I have to say I'm a fan of the short haircut. I don't recommend going as short as I do (mostly because I'm to lazy to do more than every 6 months) but you would look great in all the hair choices.

I guess we're going to be voting against the masses...Justin and I vote for the hair cut in picture #1, with the Zyrtec girl a close second. Frankly, I think that the pixie is really hard to pull off---I think Bex is wearing so much make-up to remind us all that she is a girl.
You'll look great whatever you choose! Oh, and so far this weekend we've made Rice Crispie treats and brownies, cupcakes are on the schedule for tonight!! If you ever have a craving for something sweet you know where to come :)!!!
Well so the voting begins, Your dad and I both vote for the #1 style. And I do hate to drag out the old memories, but I remember a girl in the third grade once who had hair down to her bottom and some of her girl friends decided to get a weight line hair cut, so this child and her sister wanted a hair cut too. the younger child looked oh so cute in this new short layered cut but she cried for about a week that she wanted her long hair back. And then it took almost 3 years to get it down to the middle of her back. I cut my hair about every 6 weeks just to keep it looking okay in a short cut. At least if you have some length, you could go 2-3 months between cuts. if you decide on the drastic I know you will look great, but one other thing to think about is the picture of the pixie girl has some natural curl to enhance the body and shape of the cut, if I recall, you have great body in your hair but isn't it poker straight?
I vote for the first one but Ryan says definitely not the first one. Hmm...
Lonna, I am completely baffled that you think yourself "plain". I admit to being jealous of you because you are so pretty.
So did you decided to try the lady(in your ward?) that you were telling me about?
How nice to have your husband like short hair, mine will never let me cut mine although I sometimes do anyway. I like the top one, but I'm sure you would look really cute in any of them...are you getting it done before I come?? can't wait to be there in a few days...see you soon.
Oh my lanta Lonna, I have been a big fan of the Zyrtec lady for some time now. How come we have never bonded over that commercial? And who is that celebrity in pic #1 because I absolutely love that hair too. :)
Ok so hair really is a touchy subject around here lately because of my last hair experience...going in for a trim+chestnut brown, ending up with a barely pony tail and vibrant red that is going on 17 washes and starting to look normal. I don't think it's a great idea to turn your hair over to someone who is in the middle of a divorce not to mention who wasn't all there in the first place...
That said, Lonna you have successfully pulled off every hair style I have ever seen you in. You are that hair envy girl; if you have long hair I want to grow mine out, if you have short hair I want to cut it. So if you can find a stylist that does your beauty justice I know you would rock that pixie cut because I've seen it before! I mean seriously, what has Posh got on you?
Well I am curious to see if you venture out of the Logan whereabouts for your new hair; I think your Logan girl should start up her own beauty school so there could be a lot less tears in this country. Because as we all know, it's not just hair, it's self-esteem!!
Anyway, keep us posted--if you can find someone who can follow instructions please hook me up too! I'm with James on this one, you are stunning with short hair. Good luck my friend.
i vote for #1. I think you would look great with the pixie cut. Having had that one in college, i can say that it's one easy hairstyle to have - but if you ever want to change it, it's a pain to grow out. but i think you could totally pull it off.
and hydrating poo. classic.
Lonna,
I love your Mom's comment. Only a mother knows the whole hair story.
I like the first one or the last one. But you are always beautiful!!
I can tell you are in need of "Babe mode". Magic happens in "babe mode". It helps to get a new hair cute and a new outfit with jewelry. But in the end it is all in the attitude.
My sister and I were talking how we felt old, because in church we are noticing the newly weds are hip and trendy, and we are still wearing the hip and trendy of our 1st anniversary.
What ever cut you choose I know you will make it hip and fun because that is just who you are. A Babe!
I vote for picture #2. I've always thought the Zyrtec girl has a cute hair cut.
Well I just have to say that you are one of the most beautiful firls that I know!! You don't wear make up because you don't have to...not many people can pull that off! And by the way I have never seen you get a haircut that you couldn't pull off! My vote however is for the 1st haircut...so cute!! However when someone can pull off the pixie like you can, it may be a shame not to do it!! Whatever you do, I can in full confidence say that you will be absolutely stunning!! P.s. I am down 22 lbs...i'm planning my trip to Austin!!
