We were able to get together with Ryan and Leslie and all of our kids at Lake Pflugerville for a little time in the sun and rocks? Yep rocks. It was an evening full of water and treats, I know that is the way I like to spend the summer evenings.

James hopped right in the water and took the kids around the little dock. The girls all played with the sand toys and pool noodles and it was really fun to see how well London and Maddie maneuver themselves in their fish inter tubes. ( they are really fast)

Harrison tried out the water for awhile, but he preferred the rocks the most.
I really enjoy seeing all the kids play together, it is so much fun to hear the things that they say, like Maddie's floatie got away from her and the wind hit just right to send it to the shore by another family, and she said "we have a problem." But then London took off to save it and returned it to Maddie soon after. It was so cute.

Harrison ate some pizza that looked like it was bigger than his head, and he sure did enjoy that. And then just before we packed it up and called it a night James spent a little time with his son hanging out, and of course... finding and throwing rocks back in the water.

fun in the sun for sure. Oh Leslie also made these really yummy cupcakes that Gwen always wants to eat so it was a fun and tasty night at the lake. Thanks Ryan and Leslie for inviting us.

How fun! I miss going to the lake all the time, I'm glad you guys get to go and enjoy it! I'll be in Austin this weekend so you better still be going to Anderson Mill ward, and maybe we could get together while I'm there since Joe won't be with me.
That looks like fun! Isn't summer so nice? Was Betsy there? And Lola Lola and Frankie?
What a fantastic way to enjoy the warm weather. Gwen is quite the fashionista, check out the darling swim suit.
What wonderful pictures, you always make me wish I was there. It looks like you had a great time together and that is what family is all about moments and memories to last a lifetime. Love mom and Dad
I have to say I was worried having not planned anything elaborate, not to mention princess-related, for L & M's birthday but it turned out about as fantastic as they come. What has Cinderella got on pizza at the lake, now really? So thank you for making the trek and celebrating with us! I did get some awesome pictures of Harry eating pizza, you know I am thinking about sending some shots to GQ in case they like to plan ahead... :)
Yes thank you for journaling the floatie incident, I forgot about the "we have a problem." Maybe it was because it was at the same time as all the kite drama. Who knew the lake could be so intense?!
Oh and the cupcakes--I wish I could call that culinary masterpiece my own...But no, I had no part in their baking, or even conspiring, rather dear friends who helped make the day run a little more smoothly!! :)
Give us a call next time you're up for more water-maybe next time we'll throw in a canoe!!
Those really are the best moments. It sounds like one of those perfect moments that remind you why you do what you do. Wish we could have been there.
What a fun trip to the lake. Eric would love the rocks too. He picks up rocks everywhere we go. Gwen's little swimming suit is so cute!
I love seeing pictures of you all together having fun by the lake...as long as there are rocks, water and food...it will be perfect! I hope Betsy's children stayed far away from you all.
Sounds like a perfect day to me...
I've lived here for nine years and never knew there was a Lake Pflugerville. Sounds like a pleasant outing.
